Kids International Club

The Story "Slippers the cuties" deals with children's mythical world. Before writing this story, we considered pediatrician opinion on the medical footwear for children. Value of medical footwear for children was recognized by professor Milivoj Jovančević, Ph.D. pediatrician.

The story was written and illustrated on Croatian language, translated into 9 language, published on all 10 languages and it is present at Croatian National and University Library. It is short, concise and cheerful. It is educational because the slippers are recycled and they become new when the king renew them. It is about frugality, modesty and communion. The slippers are personified to help children identified with them. Story is written in flowing tone and talks about how love can do everything and thus renew old slippers. From this story, children can learn how to appreciate even something old and with love be a part; learn about communion and love between the king and queen and imagine how did the slippers live and move. Imagining and imaginary world are extremely important in the age up to 10 years and therefore the story is dedicated specifically to that age. When it is read aloud, it gets fairy-tale dimension and children listening the magical slippers start to connect with them and thus they become friends.

Making friendship between children and slippers is something like a blanket which is binding, warm and kept. This blanket protects them, gives them protection and slippers are those who also protect them, give them courage and independence. However, if they are given more magical notes of animated objects to be taken into account, then children develop attention to things, keep their value and try to do anything so they won't be destroyed. Slippers assist in socialization if children see that their friends wear the same "drluigies".

The story develops affective and cognitive skills if children listen while storytelling; develops physical skills since children can move in their first slippers, but also think that our product is something long-term and valuable which in itself is not self-explanatory to children. The story can be read in group or pairs and thus encourages children to interact; it can be played as variety of role-plays where children can become one or other "luigies" and they would be able to talk as slippers among themselves. The story develops receptive and productive processes: visual abilities where they notice written text; orthographic skills where they recognize letters; language skills to identify message; semantic skills where they understand message and cognitive skills to interpret message.

The story is particularly well-received while presentation at the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb where the application of our brand at the level of culture has started. An actress Slavica Knežević read our story very inspirational and thus evoke fairy-tale world for children in front rows. The presence in the museum between large walls which echoed with voice of Mrs. Knežević, gave the whole event an extra dimension of pleasure and amazement.

Puzzle in the form of Slippers the cuties floating on a small pad in the middle of the sky, according to the basic motto Dr.Luigi medical footwear "Walk on clouds", is designed as an interactive toy for children to enable them to develop certain skills.

Except is fun to play puzzle, as every child know and even some adults, puzzle develops fine motors skills in children who are preschool and early school age. A distinctive slippers appearance is dominated in the picture and single puzzle pieces are not very complicated. However, it develops thinking about the next step, next puzzle part and encourages the child to the unconscious development of cognitive skills.

An animated movie is an extension of the story Slippers the cuties. Movie was sketched with warm colors and associates who worked on it are: animators Iva Božić and Petra Balekić and the sound Boris Stanić.

Movie brings, now familiar story about slippers and king who restores them for the children of the kingdom. Animated movie is intended for twofold purpose: designed as a children's movie and as a dedicated movie and commercial and so it will be presented at animation movie festivals.

The original idea of the movie was to revive the characters from the story and imaginary world, not thinking beyond children who already are members of Kids International Club, could enjoy in the mobile entertainment content. Nevertheless, the movie has outgrow in a part of the multimedia project of brand positioning and thereby create another part of the multimedia puzzle. Movie will most definitely touch the young ones because today's generation is mostly oriented on the screen.

ABC and 123 cards

Educational toys in the form of memory clouds which include pictures from the story "Slippers the cuties" and toys that contain numbers and letters – 123 cards and ABC cards – are another successful marketing tool that introduced brand Dr.Luigi to the households in which parents bought their children medical footwear. Memory cards, cards with numbers and letters are perky, small enough and acceptable to every child. On yellow or red background there are images from the story made of cardboard that are plasticized. These educational toys, as well as any other, develop memory and other cognitive skills. They are very distinctive and striking and one of the easiest marketing tools that managed to enter in many fairs and delighted exhibitors while being presented.

They aren't invasive nor forcing the viewer to put them away – on the contrary, they are very friendly and warm colors encourage you child to take them in hand.

Educational game has reached such a scale that ultimately ended as a souvenir in the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb. This is a revolutionary step where a single product, from being treated as a medical footwear that was exhibited and presented at health forums and fairs, to the fact that he managed to get in the museum space. What does that mean in the future? Memory cards, cards with numbers and letters can develop children's memory, they can take time to play and joy. Through the game characters, event, friends and situation are remembered. All that will say that child cognitive and memory ability connects with the image of the brand DrLuigi at early age. Entering the shop at the museum, they become part of, if not, the key part of brand positioning on the cultural level, the level of education. Children through memory cards improve the results of numerous tests: better perception of wider picture within the text, better memory with mental maps (because their mental maps are already developed by using and storing content on memory cards), not only tables, presentation and other form of the image recognition and presentation materials. strengthen their linguistic outcomes such as improved competences, awareness, understanding, strategies and experiences in decision-making and negotiation. All this can be observed as starting point through remembering memory materials on cards.

Museum of Arts and Crafts has recognized the importance of medical footwear that in cultural segment can create significance and it has been included in the section of souvenirs as smart and cultural souvenir. By entering the museum space, idea of the brand has implemented and the brand itself as one that recognized cooperates and works on educational and cultural level.

While choosing footwear for children, you should have in mind few facts. First of all, footwear has to be comfort with soft insoles that won’t hamshackle feet movements. Further, children’s foot is sweating significantly more, so it is important that footwear is “breathing”, that doesn’t derive sweating and that is possible to maintain hygiene well – especially inner part.

In practice, it turned out that washing footwear in the washing machine is the best and the safest way of maintaining foot hygiene. As children are very active, their footwear has to be resistant to deformations and mechanical damages. Perhaps, the best feature is that shoes and slippers are made from natural materials with guaranteed harmlessness and absence of harmful chemical compounds that are commonly used in the material processing, dyeing and manufacturing footwear.

It is equally important that they do not possess elements that could pose a threat (lubricity, falling off certain decorative parts). Guarantee in the form of having an European quality certificate that footwear is categorized as a medical device, represents an extremely important element in protecting children’s health and their free development and growth. Dr. Luigi footwear meets all the listed requirements and from the standpoint of health, they represent superb product and optimal selection in the healthcare for children.

Computer game is a game where children together with princess Smarty and king Inventor repair old slippers the cuties and create "drluigies". This develops creativity and encourages imagination of a child that he can do something with his hands. It also encourages children to bond with their slippers, because while they engage themselves in making these slippers, they get closer. Of course, game was intended as a tool for children to develop memory and fine motor skills while playing.

It is easy, fluffy and conveys the message: slippers the cuties are children's friends.
